NEW GROUP IN CORNWALL BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER, ALL AROUND THE WORLD

Cornwall Alpaca and Llama Group are a newly formed friendly and informal group consisting of both experienced and new owners of camelids. We are approved by BAS and listed on their website under Regional Groups. Our main objectives are to bring camelid owners together via the internet, to share information, ideas and opinions, to advise on camelid health and welfare and support new and experienced owners on all aspects of camelid keeping and most importantly to have fun at the same time. This group is not only for people who live in Cornwall we welcome everyone and it's FREE TO JOIN...

This is an interactive group where members can ask questions/ write messages via a group forum which will also have information files, photos, suppliers and useful contacts all supplied by the members. We encourage our members to give us their experiences of any health problems from symptoms to diagnosis and the outcome - we hope this information will help others if they are unfortunate to experience similar problems - these files also help our local vets as they too - like us are learning all the time. We cannot be complacent - and think we know everything - we simply don't and treatments - methods etc are changing all the time and we as a group intend to try and keep as up to date as we possibly can and pass this onto our members via email and the group forum.

If you cannot attend our events you will certainly still benefit from being a member because you will receive updates and files by email as and when they become available plus there will always be someone you can contact for advice or a chat, and you may even meet new friends.

We were only formed in Feb this year so the group and the forum is in its infancy but it will be fun watching it grow together and as I said earlier we have very experienced members always on hand to help.
. .
We have many exiting events lined up for 2009 including a Gina Bromage Day on October 19th. Plus a talk from our local Veterinary Laboratories Agency.
